David Archuleta charmed the judges again on American Idol, this time in Hollywood. David was first up and sang “Heaven” by Bryan Adams. One of the backup singers wiped a tear away from her eye as he sang. He got three yes votes from the judges and was told that it was incredible and the best audition.

The current buzz on American Idol is all about 16 year-old David Archuleta from Salt Lake City, Utah. He is currently one of the most promising American Idol season 7 contestants, even before his audition aired on TV. After being aired on the American Idol commercial, many people may have recognized him from winning Star Search when he was 12. He even has a video of him singing “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” in front of American Idol season 1 aspirants and he blew them away with his rendition. David was 9 years old during season 1 of American Idol.

David didn’t have the best audition, he almost forgot the words, BUT he has amazing talent! He was a little nervous, but that didn’t change the fact that he has a great soulful voice. America can’t wait to see more from David Archuleta.

This season of American Idol is full of talent, discovered and undiscovered. Even though there is buzz around David Archuleta due to his win on Star Search, he won when he was 12 years old. He is now 17. This time around he is more mature and has had those last 5 years to work on his musical talent.
